Garnet BioTherapeutics is inspired by, and dedicated to, the late Hubert JP Schoemaker. A true pioneer in the field of biotechnology, Dr. Schoemaker founded the predecessor of Garnet BioTherapeutics in order to continue his work discovering innovative treatments for areas of unmet medical need and regenerative medicine.

 Dr. Schoemaker was perhaps best known for his co-founding of Centocor, one of the nation’s most successful biotechnology companies, with products that have improved the lives of millions of people. Dr. Schoemaker left Centocor in 1999 following its purchase by Johnson & Johnson for $5.2 billion.
